The Training Systems Specialist is a subject matter expert responsible for managing and maintaining systems (including I.T. systems) supporting the delivery of training & assessment programmes ensuring the Elizabeth Line business requirements can be met.

Accountability

- Act as the key point of contact for day to day management of information pertaining to learning and competence management systems to comply with statutory, business and route performance requirements.

- Maintain job specific role profiles for the organisation’s training and competence establishment to meet statutory, business and route performance requirements.

- Maintain systems and apply relevant procedures for ensuring digital learning capabilities are constantly available to deliver training and competence assessment.

- Maintain systems and apply relevant procedures for ensuring employees and contractors undertake safety critical work in activities where they are certified as competent to do so.

- Maintain the competence management database and ensure records of training and competence assessment are updated in a timely manner in order to deliver the needs of the business.

- Manage assigned systems and procedures on behalf of organisations training establishments to help drive a culture of high performance.

Knowledge

Essential

- Proficient in MS office skills, particularly Excel.

- Proficient in database management systems.

Desirable

- Degree in computer sciences

Skills

- Ability to act as a role model for the business and industry stakeholders

- Ability to communicate effectively with business and industry stakeholders

- Ability to establish a course of action for self and others, managing time, resources and surrounding circumstances to deliver objectives

Experience

- Experience in creating reports from database systems.

- Experience in managing complex databases such as SAP and Competence Management Systems.
