DIO is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). We play a vital role in supporting Defence by leading and managing the delivery of what the Armed Forces need to live, work, train and deploy on operations. DIO’s Data, Analytics and Insight (DA&I) department are currently looking for a Data Architect to join the Data Governance team to make business wide data improvements, using the latest Data Quality technology and working with the business to bring data management expertise in setting and ensuring adherence to data standards and policies.

The DIO Data Architect is responsible for maintaining and continually improving all aspects of DIO data architecture. This will be achieved through the management and delivery of the DIO Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model and Data Catalogue. A key deliverable of the data architecture work will be to support the delivery of the DIO Business Intelligence programme providing a clear architecture to ensure the wide range of data sets are integrated effectively to provide a uniform version of the truth across all DIO data.
