DIO is part of the Ministry of Defence (MOD). We play a vital role in supporting Defence by leading and managing the delivery of what the Armed Forces need to live, work, train and deploy on operations. DIO’s Data, Analytics and Insight (DA&I) department are currently looking for a Modelling Analyst to join the Modelling and Analytics Team who lead on the delivery and oversight of bespoke analytical projects for customers in DIO.

The Modelling Analyst’s role is to support evidence based decision making in DIO by delivering high quality analytical models. This may include:

- Delivery of Modelling projects

- Quality assurance / verification & validation

- Liaising with customers

- Supporting good practice across DA&I and DIO

The role requires an ability to interact with decision makers, think analytically, use Excel to a high standard and communicate analysis effectively. Good hands on skills with other software /packages (eg, SQL, @Risk, Qlikview, Tableau, SPSS, Cognos) would be desirable.
