About the role:

We are currently looking for a Solution Architect to lead on the definition of project architectures in line with Council requirements. You will be required to research, interpret, scope, design, approve and oversee the implementation of complex business information, server and network infrastructure solutions for core and strategic ICT projects.

About you:

To be successful, you’ll be educated to degree level with a degree in computer science/technology or you’ll have demonstrable work delivered to a degree level standard. You’ll also need experience of solution design and a detailed working knowledge of IT infrastructure including servers, storage, databases, networking, applications and security within an Enterprise Architecture context. You will be experienced at structuring and interpreting a problem, guiding the scope and solution towards delivering business results, working with stakeholders to influence the best architecture to drive.

An understanding of the information lifecycle and familiarity with the security standards and relevant legislation is also a must. We’re looking for someone with an up-to-date architecture best practice knowledge and understanding ideally including TOGAF (or equivalent ICT architect qualifications) and experience of Agile (iterative) project methodologies.
