IT Support Consultant

By helping customers to define their requirements, our client maps the journey and builds the solution.

They are looking for a talented Support Consultant to join their Customer Support Team based in their Solihull office.

What being the Support Consultant with our client will involve:

As the Support Consultant for Customer Support, you will manage the performance of services to clients and ensure that the service levels are achieved. As the senior in the team, you will be responsible for the resolution of complicated support issues escalated from support team members (both 1st and 2nd line) providing specialist knowledge and support to the team. A key part of the role will be to lead communications with clients through to issue resolution. As a consultant, this role will report on performance against all SLAs across the team to the Support & Operations Managers, ensuring issues are escalated in a timely manner.

Based from our client’s Solihull offices, there will travel across the UK.

What experience our client looks for from you:

- Strong knowledge of the general insurance industry is essential for this role

- Experience of working on a Service Desk, analysing and resolving complex client issues

- Experience of working in an IT Service management capacity

- Proven people management skills

- ITIL service delivery qualification

A working knowledge of one or more mainframe systems i.e. I90 is highly desirable.
