As a Senior Project Manager, you can help us protect the UK. You’ll join our Counter Terrorism (CT) team where you’ll help to deliver critical CT change projects. These projects help us adapt to a constantly changing threat. Make them happen and you can play your part in safeguarding the public.

This is your chance to take on an exciting role in the National Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (NCTPHQ). Here, you’ll work across all areas of Counter Terrorism (CT) and Protective Security (PS). Day-to-day, you’ll deliver a range of change projects, which may touch on ground-breaking and innovative areas. You’ll follow the NCTPHQ defined lifecycle, leading a Project Manager and directing Project Executives. We’ll expect you to maintain a defined standard of PPM maturity, as directed by the Portfolio Office. You’ll also need to make sure project benefits are identified, planned and measured. At all times, you’ll have support from a dedicated Programme Management Office.

To join us, you must be an experienced Project Manager who’s worked in a relevant field: (local) government, policing or in a security agency. You’ll also have recognised qualifications. You’ll be a PRINCE 2 Practitioner (or industry equivalent). This background means you’re up-to-speed on methodology and approaches (e.g. MSP). You’ll also be self-motivated and able to use your initiative. Organised, articulate and a good negotiator, you’ll be ready to work with and influence a range of senior stakeholders.

Please note this role is subject to security clearance. The vetting process can take up to six months.
