We're searching for an experienced Systems Administrator to keep our post-production systems running smoothly at the elite level of Studio Feature post production.

The role requires advanced technical knowledge and awareness of the criticality of service uptime & client service environments.

Overview of Role

Key duties will be include maintaining integrity of the network, server and storage deployment, whilst keeping a conscious eye on security.

A broad experience base and hands on approach is preferred, ideally with solid system administration fundamentals, and an ability to be an independent thinker and problem solver.

Experience from within the VFX domain would be desirable.

Must be a team player, prepared to share knowledge and develop the skills of others across all Technicolor businesses both in the UK and abroad.

Forward looking, resourceful, natural curiosity about technology and what we do, the role is critical to meeting client deadlines and requires a flexible approach to hours and days worked.

Specific Requirements

- Proven track record of resolving basic issues associated with system configuration management, resource sharing and basic networking concepts

- Experience in resolving security issues

- Experience with virtualised machine environments, render pipelines

- Ability to monitor and identify network policy violations and system breaches

- Must enjoy complex problem solving and delivering results

- Scripting, Perl, Python & BASH

- Proficient with Linux, Windows and Mac operating systems

- Storage support, management, configuration and optimization

- StorNext File System Support

- Experience with user identity management - Administration of Active Directory and familiarity of UID/GID principals in multi OS environments

- Fibre Channel Switches and Networking (Brocade)

- IP Switches, Routers and Firewalls (Primarily Junos)

- Server Installation, Configuration and Maintenance

- Network Monitoring and Change Management (Ansible)

- System imaging deployment and management (Puppet, Chef, Salt).
