Our information services department provides an end-to-end service to a wide range of internal customers, encompassing IT development, delivery and support. We are a key element in the successful growth and expansion of Wessex Water Group across both our regulated and unregulated businesses.

We are looking for a number of business analysts to join our team. As a business analyst, you work with a range of customers to identify their business change needs and define solutions for them. Day to day this means you'll be capturing, analysing and documenting requirements then supporting delivery of appropriate and cost-effective IT solutions to address these, using strategic principles to ensure that these are fit for purpose. For some minor projects you will also be responsible for tracking and reporting such projects too.

To do this you'll be an experienced business analyst, used to analysing and documenting complex business processes and translating these into functional and non-functional specifications. You'll probably have a business or IT-related degree and ideally be familiar with PRINCE2 and Agile methodologies, as part of your experience of the full project lifecycle in both a waterfall and agile environments. You must be very familiar in usage of the standard Microsoft office products such as Office, SharePoint and Visio.

However, it's not all about technical skills. You'll have excellent communication skills and be comfortable dealing with all levels of stakeholders too. Good working relationships are key to this role and you will be able to building effective relationships with all of your customers and colleagues.
