Our information services department provides an end-to-end service to a wide range of internal customers, encompassing IT development, delivery and support. We are a key element in the successful growth and expansion of Wessex Water Group across both our regulated and unregulated businesses.

In this role you'll lead the design, development, testing and documentation of databases, interfaces, applications and reports/dashboards for the organisation. Day to day you will manage reporting, analysis and BI capabilities including new releases and upgrades, and you will evaluate and recommend new BI technologies and contribute to the use of BI solutions across a range of projects. You'll also be responsible for designing, developing and implementing software integration components including SSIS and ETL processes.

To do this you will need extensive systems knowledge across IT applications and will have substantial experience of development, implementation and maintenance of complex and heavily integrated systems using Microsoft technologies - including Transact SQL, Microsoft SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Team Foundation Server, Power BI and other reporting technologies such as Qlikview.

You'll also have significant experience of working on systems with high volume and sensitive data and have a mature understanding of constraints this imposes on solutions.

It is likely that you'll have a degree in software engineering or equivalent. Aside from your technical background, you will have well-developed business awareness, the ability to translate complex issues into simple solutions and demonstrate excellent demonstrate organisational and communication skills. Your project experience and ability to build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders mean you can make an immediate and positive impact into the team.In return we offer a range of benefits including:
