Our information services department provides an end-to-end service to a wide range of internal customers, encompassing IT development, delivery and support. We are a key element in the successful growth and expansion of Wessex Water Group, across both our regulated and unregulated businesses.
As software developer you'll work with a wide range of customers across the group to help design, develop, test and deploy software and support and maintain integrated IT solutions too. This is a busy, time-pressured role helping to keep critical business systems operating correctly. You'll provide valuable expertise in business software development, business intelligence, BizTalk, Microsoft CRM Dynamics, SharePoint, systems integration and web services management.
To do this you'll be working with enterprise, solution and technical architects to establish and maintain standards. You'll provide expert advice in programming methods and tools and will conduct software tests, correcting defects and re-testing as necessary.
You'll probably have a degree in software engineering or similar. You will also have significant experience of a range of systems and software including C#, WCF, MVC, ASP.net, Transact SQL, Microsoft SQL Integration Services, SharePoint, BizTalk, Visual Studio and Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Team Foundation Server. Good experience and understanding of both Waterfall and Agile project methodologies is essential.
