Project Manager - Bath

Join this prestigious multinational in Bath.

This is a Project Manager with a difference!!!! You will have strong knowledge of a "factory"/manufacturing /procurement environment or related. You will have strong Business Analysis or BI skill and understanding. You will understand workflow, costing and product delivery . You will have a strong Operations Knowledge . One of your key skills is Change Management . You will identify areas in the factory that will do with an IT overhaul and then identify, sponsor and get directors buy in and then drive your team to, completion,delivery and implementation. Very very strong financial knowledge imperative.

Specific Responsibilities

- Planning: maintain and communicate project milestone and key activity plans, as well as the progress trackers and detailed task plans necessary to achieve them

- Communication: ensure the members of the leadership, decision-making and project teams are aware of the plans, and equipped with the necessary skills and support to complete the tasks expected of them

- Budgeting: remain on target with project budget which has been approved by the Project Board, escalating in a timely manner to the Group IT Director if there are any issues that will impact this

- Reviewing: organise and lead project progress reviews with the Group IT Director, Sponsors, Project Board, and other project stakeholders, to update on progress and secure decisions.

- Resource Forecasting: prepare the business management for short, medium and long term resource requirements above and beyond the full-time project team. Work with project and business stakeholders and their functional resource owners to ensure that resource conflicts are managed professionally

- Delivery: Achieve the project control gateway and go-live date performance, as agreed by the Project Sponsors and Project Board

- Team Management: Organise and run weekly team meetings, to capture issues and track progress against plans.

Capability Expectations:

- Satisfactorily close-out the Analysis and Design Stage of the project within January 2017

- Lead the project’s senior stakeholders in the review and sign-off of the critical documents and deliverable s in each stage

- Lead the presentation of change proposals and policy definition

- Lead the decision-making on the roll-out strategy

Manage

- Data definition, identification, cleansing & migration, determining the policy for the quantity of historical data to be migrated

- Business change to: global sales processes, global data standards, global KPIs and measures, ensuring successful implementation

- Global user acceptance testing

- Global readiness events including conference room pilots

- A programme of user community go-live and post-go-live support stages

- Manage the overall project, including: methodology, people, deliverables, consultants/suppliers, internal stakeholders and budget, and drive the project in line with the agreed plans.

- Report to and take direction from The Group IT Director and Project Sponsors

- Report progress to and align with the Project Board and strategy

- Be the driving force to ensure activities are completed on time on budget and on quality

- Manage and co-ordinate full-time (direct) project reports and loaned in project resources

- Undertake the tasks necessary to complete the project on time, on budget, and on quality

Essential Requirements

- Educated to degree level or be qualified by relevant experience

- Delivered at least one successful CRM or ERP system implementation in a multi-location global business and multi-site roll-out

- Experience of on-time, on budget, business change project delivery of multi-million pound complex projects, whilst maximising cost compliance and focus on benefit realisation

- Outstanding stakeholder management, management of multidisciplinary teams and communication skills

- Management of projects with a significant IT delivery and business change objective.

- Previous implementation experience of SalesForce.com or Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Essential)
