THE ROLE

We are looking for an IT guru to join our fast-growing team. You should love to work with Apple products. This is a new in-house role so you will have the opportunity to own and develop the company’s IT infrastructure.

The role would be ideally suited to someone who is self-motivated, technically competent, conscientious and a responsible team player.

We are entering into an exciting scale up phase and are looking for individuals who relish the opportunity to grow with the company.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES INCLUDE

- Use your problem-solving and people skills to ensure swift resolutions to technical problems of every kind.

- Provide insightful advice and friendly, hands-on technical support of Apple products to +50 users

- Managing the security of the infrastructure, deploying and maintaining appropriate backup procedures for critical application data both on macOS and iOS

- Deployment of an MDM solution that includes apple device enrolment and automatically manages backups of contacts and critical Whatsapp data ensuring backups are successful and restores regularly tested

- User management and support of all applications used by the business including Slack, Trello, G-suite, Whatsapp, Censornet, Sophos

- Procuring and setting up laptops and macs for all new joiners and managing leavers

- Setting up new joiners iPhones and troubleshooting any issues that arise with the team’s devices

- Ensuring documentation is up-to-date and providing user support documentation to the business proactively

- Completing administration, tasks and relevant security policy compliance

- Auditing local hardware and software and managing complete list of assets

- Working with external vendors

SKILLS

- 3-4 years hands on IT industry experience as a Support Engineer working directly with end-users

- Apple Certified Support Professional desirable

- Experience in managing vendor relationships and ensuring services are provided to agreed service levels

- Knowledge-of IT infrastructure technologies and processes. A good understanding of communication protocols, network devices, hubs/switches/ router diagnostics and configuration

- Web-Based and Mobile Technologies Incident Management experience on a Service/Help Desk Infrastructure and installation experience would be advantageous

- Ideally you will have gained solid experience working in a reseller of Apple enterprise solutions

- Up to date Technical Knowledge with regular self-development.

- Excellent time management skills and the ability to make decisions quickly and follow process

- Maintain composure and user focus while troubleshooting and solving issues

- Tactful, diplomatic and able to thrive in an ever-changing environment as the infrastructure evolves

- Flexibility to regularly rotate through different technical specialties and skill sets

- Ability to work proactively, under pressure and independently with minimal direction
