Over the next 5 years Manchester Metropolitan University is to embark on an ambitious programme of change surrounding a £350m Capital Masterplan Programme and a further £45 million IS/DS (IT) investment Programme.
In order to strengthen support for this ambitious body of work, a new Programme Support Office is being created within Services Directorate to strengthen our approach to governance, monitoring and reporting, benefits realisation and, most crucially, embedding the new Manchester Met Project Toolkit.

Role
We are looking for a people person used to dealing with Senior stakeholders with experience of working collaboratively with Programme Delivery Managers across a range of disciplines.
As this is a new team working as part of the Business Support and Improvement Department you will be expected to work with other section heads to build the reputation and quality of service delivery to our key stakeholders across the University.
Ideal Candidate
You will have proven experience working as Head of Programme Office with team leadership responsibility. You will manage a small team of Project Support Business Partners to ensure stakeholders receive timely support and guidance for projects. Experience of significant business change in a large organisation is essential as is proven ability to work at Executive/senior level to drive multiple programmes/projects forward through agreed approval stages.
Qualified to degree level you will be a certified Prince 2 Practitioner together with holding MSP certification and will be experienced in the use of MS project.
