We're looking for an Operations Manager, Enterprise Cloud to join our brilliant team at Deltek!

About the role

In this key role, we'll look to you to:

-Lead a distributed team of application, technical and extension operations specialists and have the ability to perform ERP Software upgrades and maintenance for enterprise customers.

-Troubleshoot complex technical problems, provide software fault diagnosis, resolve operational issues, and interact with Deltek's Engineering, Consulting and Customer Care teams.

-Manage cloud server/storage deployments including upgrade, promotion process, image management, data transfers, backup/restore, HA/DR.

Schedule and deliver virtual server maintenance and upgrades for the Maconomy, BPM Reporting and People Planner suite of software applications.

-Manage software upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations with minimal software down-time.

Lead a team of Cloud Operations engineers focused on application and infrastructure management, but must be able to roll their sleeves up and get into the details of a problem.

-Provision new Cloud customers by creating new databases, configuring application and reporting servers for Maconomy applications.

-Manage and perform customer initiated service request that include performing database restores, customer environment creation and extension/development deployments.

-Monitor system resource utilisation, errors & alerts trends for the purpose of problem management and capacity planning.

-Execute database management (mirroring, replication, backups and disk space) and tuning activities/procedures.

-Document system architectures, systems configurations, and technical operational processes and policies.

Qualifications

About you

We'll need you to have:

-Combined experience with ERP and/or financial system software.  Experience of financial system software at a technical level is essential.

-Proven experience supporting enterprise computing platforms and systems, preferably at a Managed Services or Cloud vendor.

-Ability to interact with high level business and IT executives in large, complex customer organisations.

-Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams.

-Deep Technical and operational interests and capabilities, including Microsoft Windows Server, MS SQL Server, Oracle and automation technologies.

-Experience with public cloud providers a plus.

-Advanced understanding of high availability and disaster recovery strategies.

-Experience with automated deployment technologies.

-Experience with enterprise monitoring and management tools.

-Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements.

-Passionate about technology and solving IT operations-focused problems.

-Must be detail oriented, task driven, and have excellent communication skills.  Customer service focus is key.

-Ability to work effectively with staff, peers, and others in and outside the organisation to accomplish goals, objectives and to identify and resolve problems.

-Experience of Maconomy, Maconomy BPM Reporting and People Planner would be an advantage.
