We are looking for a flexible and responsible individual with experience in delivering ICT projects using PRINCE 2 based methodology to join our team.

We undertake a great diversity of projects. We always have projects to upgrade, enhance or replace our applications, network infrastructure or business systems. We are looking for candidates with experience of the systems and infrastructure typical for a local authority and its statutory obligations towards its residents. Of particular interest is experience of adult and/or children's social care systems, large scale data migration between systems (not just social care systems) and migration of services from on premise to cloud-hosted solutions.

You need to demonstrate tangible evidence of your proven experience and success in the following areas:

-Delivering ICT projects using a PRINCE 2 based methodology

-Producing and executing credible and feasible plans and solutions

-Migrations between applications or between hosted environments

-Creative use of resources, with Resource Managers, to deliver outcomes

-Managing complex stakeholder relationships

-Delivering fit for purpose customer solutions to time quality and budget

-Managing and mitigating risk

-Leading by example to inspire staff and colleagues

-Identifying and solving complex project-based problems

-Implementing and following best practice

-Influencing positive outcomes by using your excellent negotiation and communication skills

-Managing suppliers within the project environment

-Operating a healthy and safe working environment

You will have skills and/or experience in the following areas:

-Project management within a local authority or similar organisation (essential)

-ICT Project management experience (essential)

-PRINCE 2 Foundation qualified (essential)

-PRINCE2 Practitioner qualified (highly desirable) or equivalent substantial experience

-Agile project management (highly desirable)

-Stakeholder management at all tiers of an organisation (including Elected Members, the Council Leader & Departmental Directors;or Board of Directors,Departmental Heads, Section Heads)

-Resource planning

-Microsoft Project (regular use as a minimum)

-Risk management

-Budget management and cost reporting

-Customer Service

-Report writing

-Presentation and articulation

-Leadership

-Building relationships

-Influencing and negotiation

-Procurement
