You don’t settle for ordinary. In fact, you actively seek out the most innovative, effective and creative solutions to interesting problems. And that’s exactly what we’ll encourage here at HMGCC. Our multi-disciplinary teams design secure communications systems for HM Government in the UK, and overseas. You’ll have the chance to work on a range of complex, absorbing projects - all while helping to safeguard the country and its interests.
The role
As an enthusiastic and bright graduate with a passion for software, you’ll get involved with our unique and varied projects. In fact, you’ll quickly become a key team member - developing, testing and maintaining solutions that push the limits of software. With our support, you’ll use your creativity and proactivity to test your knowledge and grow your expertise. In fact, you won’t just benefit from the supportive and collaborative nature of our teams. Top-class technical training programmes, professional accreditation, mentoring and on-the-job-development will help you not just fulfil your potential, but stretch it too.
Your profile
You’ll have at least a 2:1 degree (Bachelors or Masters) in a relevant subject, or practical experience in the industry.
You’ll be able to design, develop and test software in one or more of: C, C++, C#, Java and Objective-C.
You’ll have experience of developing one or more of: Windows, Linux, macOS, Android or iOS.
You’ll be able to reason about the performance of different data structures and algorithms.
Ideally, you’ll have scripting skills and experience of revision control, continuous integration and static analysis. It would be an advantage if you had knowledge of Visual Studio, Xcode and JetBrains IDEs.
