The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) is an international organisation promoting global monetary and financial stability and is a bank for central banks. We are looking for a hands-on, technically strong business analyst for a longer-term project focusing on the transformation of the Bank's Source-to-Pay system.

The ideal candidate has excellent knowledge of procurement processes and associated applications. He/she is an adept business analyst, with strong relationship management skills and a deep understanding of the strategic role of procurement.

Key responsibilities:

-Act as an interface between the project team and key business areas and service providers to ensure the reliability and effectiveness of the Source-to-Pay system.

-Analyse and optimize procurement and sourcing processes and define related business requirements.

-Support business areas, facilitate workshops and provide technical expertise for the sourcing and procurement team.

-Coordinate the development and implementation of project deliverables. Liaise with developers / technical leads for the implementation of the requirements and devise test plans. Coordinates user acceptance testing and performance assessment.

-Manage and disseminate documentation; coach technical and non-technical staff on effective use of the Bank's Source-to-Pay system.

-Provide end-user training and first and second level user support.

Qualifications, skills and experience:

- University degree in a relevant discipline

- Fundamental knowledge of relevant business applications (Source-to-Pay systems); knowledge of business process modelling techniques

- Ability to document complex system specifications; experience developing and executing test plans

- Project management skills a plus

- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with attention to detail

- Flexible, service-oriented and able to perform under pressure

- Able to function effectively both in a team environment and independently

- Strong communication skills, with a proven ability to influence at a range of levels

- Fluent in English (oral and written)

- A minimum of five years' experience as a business analyst in a procurement environment
