So what is the purpose of the Senior Engineer role in Network Rail's Telecom function? It's to provide technical engineering input and support and advice across a specified Capability Function.

And how does a Senior Engineer do this?

By providing expert advice and support associated with the provision of services for our customers and suppliers and providing professional leadership for a designated team. The Senior Engineer also provides expert advice, support and input to technical accident and incident investigations and supports engineering analysis and risk assessment.

In addition to this the Senior Engineer supports the setting of policy and standards, operational processes and systems as well as managing the design and delivery of programmes for the development of technical capability required within Network Rail Telecom.

What we are looking for…

Our Senior Engineers for Network Rail Telecom are degree educated in a relevant discipline or possess an equivalent level of experience. They have broad technical engineering backgrounds with project or financial planning experience. They also possess leadership capabilities.
