.Net Developer / London / 6 Months Contract / 500 to 550 GBP (Per Day)

Experienced .Net Developer required to join a financial services company. The company is a well known, recognised leading brand in their market and this is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join a market leading business.

Strategic Responsibilities

* Lead role in delivering the business and technical roadmap for Pershing.

* Collaborate with the CTS Architecture team to establish and govern development best practice and standards.

* Cultivate a culture of dependable delivery, responsiveness and continuous improvement.

Operational Responsibilities

* Leading, technical management and mentoring experienced developers.

* Work with the development teams to establish and grow an Agile mind set and behaviours

* Leading development teams across technologies (presentation, business logic and database)

* Driving continuous improvements to the team with particular emphasis on improving code quality, design and testing

* Accountable for the delivery of departmental and company commitments.

* Work with offshore development teams in a 'Team Extension' model.

Technical Knowledge

Mandatory:

* Hands-on experience of .Net / C# design and development

* Object Oriented and design principles

* Experience of the full development lifecycle (including both Agile and Waterfall)

* Understanding and experience of engineering practices such as unit testing, continuous integration, automated testing, appropriate documentation, etc.

* Ensure delivery by self and others of quality software requiring little or no rework in order to satisfy user needs

* Review of other team members designs

* Contribute to the mentoring of junior staff as required

Location: London

Duration: 6 Months+
