Our Public Sector Client based in London require Senior Business Analyst to ensure agreement and sign off to Initial then Detailed Business Requirements enabling successful delivery of projects. The successful candidate will ensure that requirements are traceable through design, build and testing, and support process mapping and the creation of procedures documents. The Senior Business Analyst will provide input to the Business Analysis forum to discuss pertinent business-wide issues.

Knowledge and Expertise

* A minimum of two years' experience of working as a Business Analyst on projects delivering significant business, systems (working within the Software Development Lifecycle) and regulatory change.

* Strong business analysis and process re-engineering knowledge, covering operational, data management and customer interaction requirements.

* Experience of creating detailed process maps using MS Visio or similar.

* Proven ability to conduct workshops and chair meetings with effective stakeholder management.

* Experience in preparing reports detailing the results of analysis, highlighting options and recommendations.

* Experience in Issue and Risk management.

* Effective stakeholder manager to ensure that project awareness and support is maintained.

* Exposure to financial services.

* Organised and used to working to tight deadlines.

* Team player, able to work with in-house staff, contractors, senior management and delivery partners.

* Must have an ability to challenge constructively and effectively and to rise above the detail in order to produce new and/or re-designed processes that result in increased efficiency.

* Ability to translate and communicate complex technical concepts into business speak (and vice versa)

* An ability to collate, analyse and synthesise data in order to identify trends and commonality.

* Strong relationship management skills to communicate across various stakeholders within the business and with delivery partners (both written and oral).

* Proactive, high levels of initiative and the confidence to act.

* A good understanding of data systems and an awareness of business intelligence concepts and how analysis can support the delivery of data systems

Role Responsibilities

* Document and agree Initial and then Detailed Business Requirements to ensure successful delivery of:

* Policies and procedures for the organisation to operate in compliance with new or changed regulations.

* Augmented claims systems, data interfaces and processes.

* New or amended protocols with the regulatory authorities for any new ways of working or requirements to comply with the new directives.

* Internal systems to support the various central functions.

* Ensure all uncertainty or lack of clarity is removed from the documented detailed Business Requirements whilst at all times demonstrating the skills, knowledge and experience of all aspects of requirements gathering and alignment (e.g. traceability matrices) best practice.

* Drive document approval/sign-off through effective communication and scheduling with reviewers and stakeholders thereby ensuring thorough and complete review and delivery to published timescales.

* Ensure traceability of business requirements through design, build and test phases of a project to ensure that requirements have been met.

* Support the production of project artefacts such as the Business Case.

* Support testing cycles.

* Create detailed process maps

* Support the production of procedures documents.
