Company Description

Shell started operations in the United Kingdom more than 110 years ago. Since then we have grown into a leading innovative oil and gas company that rewards its employees by investing heavily in their careers and learning. Our people are our greatest asset, and our commitment to your career will see you thrive in a work environment that offers an industry-leading development programme. When your ideas travel, Shell will benefit and innovation will thrive. Shell has a key role to play in helping meet the UK’s growing energy demand, whilst using innovative technologies to develop cleaner energy. We are the largest FTSE 100 company in the UK by market capitalisation, and make a significant contribution to the UK economy. As well as processing 35% of the gas coming into the UK, we serve more than four million customers at our filling stations each week. Shell employs some 6,400 skilled staff as well as many contractors.

If you’re a Business Analyst with good SD module knowledge - especially how it integrates with FI/CO - and you’re happiest in a hands-on, collaborative team, you’ll flourish in this wide-ranging role

What’s the role?

This hands-on role is focused on coming up with solutions covering our Customer Master Data (CMD) in the SD module, our Marketing Retail Network (MRN) and other interface-related work.

You’ll relish working collaboratively with colleagues and internal customers in teams across the business, taking care of projects at all stages: from clarifying requirements and delivering effort estimates to developing/supervising design solutions right through to prototyping, peer review and script testing.

Requirements

Naturally, you’re methodical and analytical with a good eye for detail, proven requirements gathering skills (especially from and technical solutions perspective) and an ability to influence project stakeholders, even where you don’t have direct reporting relationships. What sets you apart is your can-do attitude and strong delivery focus: you love to get things done.

Having worked on several projects already (and ideally with some project management experience) you’re looking for a move that makes the most of your skills and knowledge in the following areas:

SD module knowledge including. configuration

Developing/deploying interfaces and enhancements

FI/CO integration with SD

Conversant with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Credit

Debugging skills are a must - ideally you also have a grasp of upcoming technologies such as Simple Logistics, Cloud and Fiori and IS-OIL knowledge.
