Together our staff and students are discovering innovative ways to change the world for the better and there has never been a more exciting time for you to join us. We are ranked in the top 1% of universities worldwide and have an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research. We are led by discovery and innovation, with the synergy between research and learning at the core of our activity.

About the role: The Department of Informatics has started a software company called ‘Agile Academy’ to deliver software and IT projects to external and internal customers. We harness the talent and enthusiasm of our students to develop and test high-quality software. This provides learning opportunities for students and allows the department to be engaged with current industry practices.

The purpose of this role is to support the growth of Agile Academy by managing projects delivered by students, ensuring a professional level of quality and the developing sustainable relations with internal and external customers.

You will support the strategic aims to grow Agile Academy as a means of supporting the research and teaching within Informatics and into other departments. Applicants should therefore have an interest in how commercial projects can help students to gain work experience, and in exploring links to wider research and enterprise activities.

The role will have the opportunity to engage in teaching and research when their aims align with those of Agile Academy.
