The business analyst will be responsible for the analysis and evaluation of company processes, systems and user needs for planned IT projects or changes to existing systems.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Conducts business process analysis and requirements gathering with stakeholder groups in order to lead the design of effective 'to be' business processes.

Elicits business, functional and non-functional requirements to facilitate functional and non-functional design and development.

Supports the testing and implementation phases of development.

Delivers business analysis using agile methodologies and development of user stories.

Facilitates working party and business user reviews, documenting discussion and following up action points.

Understands the long-term business objectives and suggests systems solutions to meet these objectives.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

Minimum of 3 A Levels, or equivalent, (grades A*-C).

Minimum of 5 GCSE or equivalent, (grades A*-C), including both English and mathematics.

Proficient knowledge of analysis tools and techniques.

Demonstrable experience with modelling tools including Visio (or equivalent).

Willingness to travel and, on occasion, spend short periods of time away from home within the UK.

Desirable:

Degree in a related business, analytical or technology related subject.

Knowledge and experience of testing methods and disciplines.

Experience of working within the further, higher or professional education sector.

Current knowledge and practical application of a range of SDLC methods such as agile and waterfall.

Knowledge or experience of project management methodologies.
