DESCRIPTION

It is an exciting time as we look to rapidly grow both Mobile Fun and our sister company, magic42, our web development agency.

You will join and support an expert IT infrastructure team consisting of the CTO, the Head of IT, the Systems Manager and our Support Technician who will all support and train you. The team are responsible for managing our network infrastructure of both physical and virtual servers (mostly running Ubuntu Linux). In addition, you will assist in supporting the Company’s day to day IT needs, and also support the Dev Team with the deployment of new applications and systems.

This position will be ideal for a Computer Science graduate with a demonstrable passion for infrastructure and Linux or would suit a junior candidate who has had 1-2 years of relevant work experience looking for great career development.

You will get to work with numerous Sys Admin / DevOps technologies including but not limited to:

Ubuntu / Debian Linux, KVM / Proxmox, PFSense Firewalls, Puppet, Samba, MySQL / MariaDB, Apache, PHP, various AWS Services, Nginx, Git, Vagrant, Virtualbox, Asterisk, to name a few!

REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge, keen interest, skills or hands on experience in any number of the following:

- Ubuntu Linux command-line (including bash scripting)

- Linux server administration

- Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, etc

- Firewall configuration and network services: DHCP, VPNs, -

proxy services, etc.

- Understanding of linux servers and their operation

- Apache configuration/administration

- MySQL knowledge and database administration

- IT support skills and keen interest in Opensource and new technologies

- Attention to detail and methodical approach to problem solving

- Configuration management: shell scripting, puppet, ansible, docker etc.

- Git skills
