We wish to recruit an Electronics Workshop Technician who will be responsible for delivering high quality electronic engineering solutions within the world class School of Psychology and Neuroscience, University of St Andrews. The Workshop specialises in designing and creating bespoke research and teaching apparatus for use in the School's research labs and field stations throughout the UK and World.

Working closely with the Workshop Supervisor, IT Manager and other project technicians, you will be responsible for the design, development and manufacture of varied specialist scientific equipment and apparatus. During which there will be an opportunity to develop mechanical design and fabrication skills and make lasting impact through the development of technologies embodying the latest ideas in research.

You should hold an HND in Electronics Engineering, or equivalent engineering discipline, and have relevant experience in an engineering environment including the ability to use software design, relevant programming skills and circuit board construction to produce required components and assemblies.

This is a fixed term position until 31 July 2020 with a start date as soon as possible. Hours of work will be 36.25 per week Monday to Friday.
