Brighton & Hove City Council is recruiting to a number of IT and digital roles.

The Council is well into a multi-year programme of organisational modernisation, including renewal of core IT platforms and infrastructure, digital innovation and many business change programmes and projects in which IT is a key partner. We are also establishing close ties with East Sussex County Council and Surrey County Council through the Orbis partnership, which provides professional and technical support services for its partner organisations.

This is an exciting time to join our team. We are an ambitious and forward looking IT department with skills in a range of enterprise technologies and digital delivery practices. Working in a fast paced environment, in the heart of the City and close to the seafront, these roles offer great opportunity for gaining substantial professional and technical experience.

As an ambassador for change and innovation you will take an active role within projects and planning to inspire, drive and lead business transformation through digital solutions. You will be responsible for leading aspects of design concept, development and delivery of innovative digital platforms - pushing the boundaries of existing council service offerings to create an exceptional experience for customers and residents.

Keeping abreast of digital trends you will be responsible for creating, managing and reporting on digital roadmaps/strategies affecting all levels of the organisation. You will be responsible for coordinating strategic engagement on behalf of IT & Digital with internal local authority services and external partners.

As a creative thinker and communicator you will proactively manage key relationships to council services and partners to capture, prioritise and strategically align business change and technology requirements. Working closely with technical specialists you will inform IT & Digital strategy, architecture and strategic budget planning to ensure these meet the current and future needs of the council.
