We’re looking for a self-motivated individual with a flair for analysis to join us as a Junior Web Analyst and support our Product Managers and help influence the ongoing improvement of our core digital products.

Shelter’s Online team operates as a full service digital partner for the whole organisation. As well as managing, designing and developing Shelter’s core digital assets, they also develop content for a range of online platforms. It’s one of three specialist in-house digital teams, alongside Digital Fundraising and a new product development team in our Services division. Join us, and you could soon be making the most of your knowledge of the measurement and metrics involved in sourcing insights, trends and statistics about digital products.

The Shelter website receives millions of visits every year - from people seeking advice and information on housing and homelessness, to those supporting our campaigns, or joining fundraising events. This means we generate a lot of data, so there is immense scope for analysis, insight gathering and reporting.

You’ll get the chance to work across a number of different areas of the charity, and bring value to projects that impact on fundraising revenue, supporter awareness, and most importantly to the people who use our Shelter advice and support services every day.

Benefits include 30 days’ annual leave, the possibility of flexible working and significant opportunities for learning and development.

Your key responsibilities:

Enabling product and stakeholder teams to monitor performance of their products and make data-driven decisions

Delivering analytics audit reports to internal clients and presenting your findings in person or via conference calls to troubleshoot and enhance reporting

Helping to educate others on the importance of online measurement and providing best practice guidance for the technical aspects of analytics

Getting involved in product planning and strategy issues, implementing Google Analytics tracking configurations, working in collaboration with internal or external developers on analytics implementation work, and much more besides.

And what you’ll need:

Thorough analytical skills and the ability to draw out insights that can be supported by good quality data

Experience of creating and managing reporting for a team or stakeholder.

Meticulous attention to detail, good prioritisation, problem solving skills and the flexibility to move from one task to another, if and when required.

Enthusiasm, patience, the ability to think laterally and the confidence to interact with a range of stakeholders and ask relevant and business focused questions when necessary.

Shelter is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of clients, in particular children, young people and vulnerable adults, and expects all staff, workers and volunteers to share this commitment.

At Shelter, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We are facing diverse problems, so need diverse people to tackle them.

Shelter helps millions of people every year struggling with bad housing or homelessness through our advice, support and legal services. And we campaign to make sure that, one day, no one will have to turn to us for help.

We’re here so no one has to fight bad housing or homelessness on their own.

Shelter does not accept unsolicited CVs from external recruitment agencies nor accept the fees associated with them.
