We are currently recruiting an in-house mobile app developer to lead our mobile digital development.

The Mobile App Developer at RHA will have ownership of the delivery and development of RHA’s mobile app across both iOS and Android platforms. The successful candidate will need to think on their feet and be willing to work quickly and efficiently to meet the demands of a fast-growing company. As the role will be RHA’s in-house mobile expert and champion, the successful applicant should be comfortable owning the entire end-to-end mobile app development and release process.

Responsibilities

- Responsible for creating the RHA app and for developing, testing and implementing ongoing new features across iOS and Android compatible devices

- Own the development roadmap for RHA’s mobile app (phone, tablet & wearable)

- Integrate and transform audio hardware capabilities into a feature-rich mobile experience

- Responsible for the quality and performance of the mobile app features as well as appropriate publishing approval processes

- Be a champion for mobile UX best practice and work closely with the Graphic Design team to develop the front-end design and IA of the app

- Ensure that the app works across multiple device types including tablet and wearables

- Devise and implement an app release process and establish company-wide standards for code development and maintenance

- Gather business requirements from key stakeholders and interpret them so that app features reflect key business and customer goals

- Communicate app updates and features to the wider business

Skills & Requirements

- At least 3 years’ app development experience

- Commercial experience in mobile app development; must be able to demonstrate successful delivery of commercial mobile apps across both iOS and Android platforms

- Knowledge of Xamarin preferable

- Experience with iOS and Android SDKs

- Knowledge of RESTful APIs

- Experience in publishing iOS and Android apps

- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Motivated self-starter who is passionate about creating great mobile user experiences

- Strong communicator who is comfortable translating commercial and business requirements into a technical specification

- Be proactive in improving skills and knowledge and always be up to date with the latest industry trends and best practices
