Do you have the strategic vision and a track record of successfully achieving change? Since becoming Historic England two years ago we have been through a period of transformation and you will play a key role in the next phase. With a focus on moving from a legacy of .Net stack technology to a more agnostic tech base, you will also drive forward our approach to digital services and programme management, in line with a business first approach.

As the public body that champion`s England`s historic environment, we help people understand, value and care for a diverse range of cultural records from the stone-age to the contemporary. We also continue to support English Heritage through a shared services agreement, as they manage a range of historic places across the country as a charity.

Working closely with business leaders you ensure we have the development and programme services that meet our future business needs. Providing oversight of our programmes, project lifecycles you will lead major change activities across integrated SAAS, cloud hosted applications and Microsoft solutions. With a team of six direct reports you will provide the leadership and direction to shape and drive this high performing team, to creating an agile working environment that is able to deliver large scale changes.

As a natural leader you will be able to effectively develop a vision for the team and persuasively engage with others to achieve change. You will have a development background, with the essential skill of building sustainable business focussed outcomes through effective programme management and governance. With experience of developing and implementing corporate application strategies, you will have worked across a range of technologies and development areas.
