For our client located in Dusseldorf we are currently looking for a SAP Project Manager

General Information:

- The client has purchased the DAREX Packaging Technologies business from GCP Applied Technologies, based in the US

- DAREX, Facts + Figures

o high-performance sealants and coatings for the metal packaging industry (Info)

o various global customers producing beverage, food or aerosol cans

o sales of around 300 million US dollars (around 285 million EUR) (2016)

o about 700 employees in 20 sites in 19 countries

o acquisition with mix of share deals and asset deals

- DAREX Business is running on a single global instance SAP system. The system is not exclusively used by DAREX but is shared with another Business from the selling party.

- The client does not take over the existing SAP system but needs to migrate to existing SAP systems

- During the migration data needs to be extracted from the DAREX GCP System, this data needs to be converted and uploaded into SAP (and Satellites)

- The clients' IT unit has no direct access to the SAP system of DAREX. They need to rely on cooperation of GCP IT

- The target SAP landscape within the client consists of three different regional SAP Systems

- A major part of the Cutover activity is the migration of stock and open documents (Purchase Orders + Sales Orders)

- The Cutover Activities need to be planned and managed by a dedicated Cutover Manager as part of the integration project.

Assumption:

- no takeover of IT Systems

- Integration of DAREX Business + Product Line into existing the client's systems and processes

- No new implementation of processes, existing processes are re-used with new organizational structures (new company Codes, Plants, Sales Orgs)

Required Skills:

- Senior IT Manager with vast experience as IT project manager

- Experience with migration SAP 2 SAP ideally in acquisition scenarios

- Great Communication Skills

Task Description:

Planning

- Creation of a detailed Cutover Plan for the Project using existing templates from earlier projects

- Detailed Planning of activities during the frozen period prior to Go Live

- Determination of Ressource Demand from different involved units

- Alignment of planning with Masterdata Migration Workstream

- Alignment of planning with GCP IT based on existing Service Contracts

- Alignment of planning ongoing regional integration projects

Execution

- Ongoing Alignment with Masterdata Migration Workstream

- Ongoing Alignment with GCP IT based on existing Service Contracts

- Ongoing Alignment ongoing integration project

- Analyzing Master data from several source systems (SAP and Non-SAP) and determination of migration procedure.

- Coordination of ~2 Ressources dedicated to support the Stock Migration

- Reporting of status to Project and Program Management

- Go Live is Jan 1st so work during Christmas and New Year is to be expected
