We require a Telecoms Technician to provide technical expertise in the delivery of Telecoms and SCADA services to offshore installations (BOSIET required) for a major organisation

Role:

*To provide telecommunication support for asset or platform, including maintenance, calibration and modification.

*Carry out planned maintenance routines to meet safety legislative and company standards

*Provide COE & PC Support

*Provide IT back?up services to the platform and carry out system administration role on platform based servers

*Be familiar with the use of Maximo and Backbone, and raise work orders and job reports.

*Act as Competent Person for electrical isolation of telecommunication equipment, and be fully conversant with the use of permit to work system.

*Establish and maintain a good working environment and relationship with other disciplines.

*Comply with the Safety Management Systems, particular in regard to management of change and modifications to equipment

*Liaise with Onshore service providers and 3rd party interfaces

Experience/Qualifications:

*BOSIET Offshore Survival, Offshore Medical, MIST Training

*Emergency Communication Systems: PA/GA Systems, PABX, Hotlines, Intercoms, hand portable radios, pagers, VHF/UHF (Aero/Marine), EPIRB, Radio base stations (UHF); Trunks radios, Satellite phones

*Collaboration - ability to assist with IP Telephony, Video Conferencing, TV distribution

*Surveillance & Navigation - NDB, Radar, CCTV, DGPS, Meteorological

*Connectivity - Satellite; Line of Sight Radio; Fibre Optic Communication; Structured Cabling

*Power - UPS, DC Systems, Battery Banks (Owned by the Electrical TA, but may be delegated to FTT)

*Supervisory Systems - Telecoms Shutdown, SCADA/Data Systems, PCN/PIN Firewall (Owned by Controls & Instrumentation TA but may be delegated to FTT)

*Safety training ? Behavioral Safety, Overview IM Standard, Overview OMS, Overview gHSEr, Golden Rules, Control of Work, Environmental Management, Nitrogen Awareness, Noise Awareness, Defensive Driving, COSSH Awareness, Management of Change, Maximo, Traction, Security Awareness, Regulatory Compliance, Portable Fire Extinguishers, PPE, PC Skills, Gas Testing Level 1

*Safety core skills ? Electrical Safety & Isolation, Non?ionising radiation awareness, Laser safety awareness, Protection in Hazardous Areas, Process Control Security, Communications Systems

*IT Support Intervention ? "hands & eyes", Incident support, Front line support
