As a Senior Management Information (MI) Analyst, you will have the opportunity to engage and regularly interact with key internal and external stakeholders, building up strong working networks and delivering robust and insightful MI.
You will lead and give direction to a small team of analysts, who will draw upon your analytical skills, and encourage the team to become more innovative in their approach to daily tasks. You will build their capability and share your knowledge to continually improve ways of working.
The role also has the responsibility of delivering a range of daily, weekly, monthly and ad-hoc dashboards and reports which requires exceptional time management and attention to detail to meet the expectations of both internal and external customers.
You will be proactive in identifying and investigating trends, anomalies and early warning signs and raising awareness with your network of stakeholders at all levels within the business, utilising your expert communication skills to provide them with clear explanations of your findings.
Your Role responsibilities will include;
managing the provision of timely and accurate information provided by the MI team and ensuring that it meets customer requirements for content and timescale
representing MI interests as a subject matter expert, providing technical expertise at meetings including stakeholder groups and project workshops
managing the team’s support of the government’s transparency agenda
executing leadership and management responsibilities
building and maintaining working relationships
About you
To be successful in this role you will have experience of handling and analysing large and complex sets of data and working experience of a query/reporting software package such as SAS, Business Objects or Crystal reports.
You will have experience of performing data analyses and identifying trends and patterns in data, whilst possessing excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail, including report preparation and presentation.
You should also be an advance user of MS Excel, including the use of graphs, formulas and pivot tables.
