FS Technology Advisory is part of Accenture’s Technology Consulting Practice within Financial Services. We architect, plan, design, build and implement Cloud solutions for clients in the UK, Europe and around the globe, and provide expertise advice through their journey to cloud.

The Cloud Enablement service line assists clients in transforming and migrating their core infrastructure and application estate into private/public cloud services. We help our clients deliver a cloud strategy and define the target state required to support the digital business, simplify operating models and driving significant cost savings. We do this by operating at the intersection of strategy and technology, providing an integrated consulting experience on our clients’ journey to cloud, and helping them navigate the increasingly complex regulatory and compliance landscape.

As a Consultant within the Cloud Enablement group, you will have the opportunity to lead a broad range of cloud functions, from helping our clients define their strategy through to managing the delivery of a transformation roadmap. You will lead delivery teams, bringing together our portfolio of businesses to bring the best of Accenture to our clients.

We expect our consultants to be always relevant, bringing our clients expertise and experience in Cloud Computing technology and solutions. Our consultants must combine industry and technology relevance with strong delivery experience and capability specific to Financial Services.

Consultants must be professionals who have an interest in how business processes work and interact. In addition, consultants need to apply their skills in project and programme management while exhibiting leadership in process re-engineering and implementation of process, technology, and organisational change.

What responsibilities will you have?

- Applying financial services and Cloud Computing technology expertise to advise, change, transform and deliver outcomes that enable our clients to become high performing businesses

- Develop and establish yourself as an FS cloud expert acting as an advisor to our clients helping them unlock the journey to cloud by addressing key areas of consideration such as Risk & Compliance, Cloud Operating Model, Application Transformation Strategy, Cloud Security, Business Case, etc.

- In addition to client advisory and delivery, support business development activities helping to originate and capture new opportunities and growing

- Accenture’s cloud business within FS

- Contribute and participate in the Global Technology Advisory Cloud Strategy Hub to create points of view and thought leadership initiatives that are relevant to our client’s needs

- Support and own key initiatives to grow and develop the Cloud Enablement team

Basic qualifications

What skills and experience are we looking for?

- A strong track record of project and programme management, and first-hand experience in client delivery work

- Understanding the value proposition of Cloud with the desire and commitment to develop as a strong FS-specific Cloud practitioner

- Comfortable working with both waterfall and agile methodologies and exposure across the full delivery lifecycle

- Broad range of skills, including business acumen, interpersonal, analytical and team working skills

- Proven leadership and team management skills with ability to build, manage and foster a strong, dynamic team environment

What academic qualifications do you need?

- A wealth of experience and a proven track record of working within a delivery, cloud, project oriented, consultancy environment

- Hands on experience of using a standardized set of project management disciplines

- Experience in projects involving Cloud solutioning, technical writing and presentation, and report generation exposure

- Bachelor's Degree attaining 2:1 or equivalent

What is it really like to be a Consultant in the Cloud Enablement team in FS Technology Advisory?

Consultants in our team work with some of the most experienced and knowledgeable individuals within FS Technology Advisory, and have excellent exposure to various large multinational financial services companies.

Consultants are given fantastic opportunities to lead, collaborate, and deliver projects. We are looking to grow and develop our Consultants to eventually specialise in one or more of the following areas:

- Delivering end to end cloud strategies for our clients covering business case development, defining an cloud operating model, application transformation roadmaps, etc

- Defining and managing the end to end transformation journey across the following XaaS capabilities

- IaaS (VMware, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, IBM Software)

- PaaS (RedHat, Pivotal, Cloud Foundry, IBM Bluemix, Heroku and container solutions such Docker, Kubernetes etc)

- SaaS implementation (SFDC, Workday, Success factors, etc)
