Excellent opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer to join a very successful company that will offer you a varied, challenging, senior role and the opportunity to progress.

The role is based in Bishop's Cleeve, Gloucestershire, however, this company operates nationwide. This company specialises in residential housing developments, managing projects from start to finish, ranging from 30 houses to 400!

In this role you will be mainly office based however spend a small amount of time travelling to sites as well. The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the day to day civil engineering design of developments within the region in accordance with current working practices and accordingly provide a quality and cost effective service. You will be working as a part of a close nit efficient team managing projects from start to finish on time and on budget.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, with 5 to 10 years of industry experience. Knowledge of different design packages and an understanding of changes to regulations and legislation is also essential.

The Role:

* Responsible for the day to day civil engineering design of developments.

* Completing projects to time and to budget.

* Allocating work to junior staff members and training junior staff.

* Undertaking thorough investigations into the infrastructure requirements of land opportunities.

* Providing technical advice within the department for planning applications.

* Use of CAD software, Drainage Design software and PDS Modelling.

The Person:

* Candidates must have 5 to 10 years civil/structural engineering experience in the UK market.

* Candidates will possess a BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering. Being Chartered or a member of the ICE is desirable but not essential.

* Candidates will ideally have at least 12 months experience working within a residential house builder.

* Candidates will have experience managing projects to time and budget.

* Will have experience working as a part of and managing a team.
