In this role you will be working closely with both Highway`s IT service providers and system vendors and to drive increasing business engagement with the systems and ensure the full realisation of improved business processes, information management benefits and system capabilities.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Identify and assess future and current training needs, packages and delivery methods for the system(s)

- Deliver training and monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and success

- Develop, implement and maintain a communications and marketing strategy

- Act as a source of expert system advice, training and support for the business (end users)

- Develop and maintain an effective professional relationship with IT colleagues, Highways IT service provider and relevant system vendors

- Develop and implement consistent best practice policies and procedures

- Support the Electronic Information Management System Support and Compliance Manager in promoting and marketing

- Work with colleagues in the information management profession and key stakeholders to ensure a consistent and professional

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE

- Academic achievement to degree level or relevant experience in information management or computing science

- A recognised professional qualification in computing science or, equivalent technical experience in a statutory organisation or,

- Experience of delivering training in IT systems and processes to staff

- Good understanding and experience of how information and information technology support business objectives

- A working knowledge of the key legislation governing the effective management of electronic and physical records

- Able to deliver a range of training to people with different levels of understanding

- Excellent communication skills and ability to engage at all levels of an organisation

- Proficiency in a range of office software products to enable production / maintenance of a range of complex documents, spreadsheets and management reports
