At Crawley Borough Council, we are looking for a Drupal Web Developer to help us create modern and user friendly digital channels. We’re a small, friendly and motivated team working at the heart of the Council to deliver service transformation through technology.

We have interesting and challenging projects lined up for you as we move our websites onto the Drupal platform and continue the development of our online self-service portal.

Your experience should include:

Drupal 7 (and 8 would be great)

PHP

SQL

XML, CSS, XHTML, Javascript, JSON

Web/Rest services

LAMP

We’re prepared to offer training and support to the right candidate to get them up to the level of experience we need, so if you’re a junior developer who wants to progress quickly, please get in touch.

These are our minimum requirements at junior level:

Back end web development experience, on large scale websites

2+ years development experience with PHP

HTML5 / CSS3

Javascript

XML

Tomcat/Apache

Knowledge of source code control

Relational databases, e.g. SQL Server, Oracle, My SQL

Personal skills & experience: communication, collaboration, customer focus, analytical, problem solving, well organised, positive and professional.

You will be involved in the full lifecycle of our projects from inception to delivery. Your positive attitude and excellent communication skills will help as you deal with stakeholders across multiple service areas.
