Senior Software Engineer (C#.NET) Contractor

Role Location :

Newport, Wales

Main purpose of job:

* To build SharePoint applications and workflows to meet specific enterprise requirements using the following technologies: C#.NET, PowerShell, JavaScript

* Assume responsibility for designing, implementing and unit testing components of medium to high complexity

Main duties include: (but not limited to):

* Design, implement and unit test components and functionality for SharePoint Server

* Take ownership of product areas as defined by SharePoint Architect

* Ensure adequate unit and integration testing of components

* Provide viable estimates and assist in implementation of prototypes and proofs of concept

* Ensure that all relevant standards and procedures are applied and appropriate deadlines are met

* Providing knowledge transfer to customer departmental leads

* Working on customer premises for up to 5 days per week and/or remotely as required

* Any other reasonable duties as required by Management

Service Delivery Manager

Essential Criteria:

* A 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Software Engineering or a related discipline with at least 2 years’ experience as a Senior Software Developer (C#.NET)

* At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior Software Developer position

* Detailed knowledge of SharePoint APIs and architecture

* Excellent communication skills both written and oral

* Current right to work in the UK (in own right)

* Minimum of BPSS clearance

Desirable Criteria:

* Experience of Microsoft SharePoint 2007/2010/2013

* Experience of ASP.NET development

* Experience of development in a multi-threaded environment

* Experience of working in an Agile team environment

* Experience of designing Nintex Work Flows and Forms

* Experience of working in a high-pressure team environment
