Are you an experienced IT support professional looking for your next challenge? If so, we have a great opportunity in our service operations department.

Wessex Water is the top performing water and sewerage company in the UK, serving 2.8 million customers across the south west of England. It is part of the Wessex Water Group which comprises a number of other companies alongside our regulated business, including engineering and construction, property development and waste management and renewable energy services.

Our information services department provides an end-to-end service to a wide range of internal customers, encompassing IT development, delivery and support. We are a key element in the successful growth and expansion of Wessex Water Group, across both our regulated and unregulated businesses.

This varied and busy role is based in the application support team and you will report to the team lead. The main responsibility of the role is to provide extensive support for our Sharepoint system to a wide range of customers across the organisation. Day to day this means you'll be managing the health and availability of the application, its configuration and support, ensuring its integration with other business solutions and producing queries and reports based on customer requirements.

To do all of this you'll need to be a positive team player who has held a similar role, preferably in the water industry. You'll need to have good experience of Sharepoint platforms including 2007, 2010 and O365 - plus an understanding of information architecture and third party tools such as Sharegate and Nintex. You'll also need to demonstrate your knowledge of publishing, search and navigation, security functionality and enterprise metadata management. As well as your technical knowledge, you will need excellent communication and organisation skills to enable you to balance the needs of a variety of customers in a busy environment.

In return we offer a range of benefits including:

* Defined contribution pension scheme.

* 24 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.

* Childcare vouchers.

* Cycle2Work scheme.

* Discounts and cashback scheme from more than 1,200 high street and online suppliers.
