SAP Basis Administrator - (Netweaver 7.0, BW 7.0, Portal 7.0, SolMan 7.0)

A global leader in the oil & gas field is currently recruiting for a SAP Basis Administrator to join their in house SAP Basis/technical team. The successful candidate will work with the internal SAP Basis Consultants and business stakeholders to deliver high profile global SAP solutions.

The ideal candidate will have Solid SAP Basis experience ideally with some exposure to RFC, interface and SAP GUI Management although this is not a must have as training is provided. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an experienced SAP Basis/technical team and also eventually get ERP, BW and portal components experience.

Role:

- Ensure SAP Basis systems current and to level defined in Standard (SAP, DB, OS)

- Ensuring effective security, operation and peak performance of SAP environments

- Solution Manager administration

- AS ABAP and JAVA administration and maintenance

- Remote Function Call (RFC), Interface and SAP GUI Management

- Performing system copies of ERP and BW

- Transport execution according to the agreed Change and Transport procedures

- Maintenance of SAP portal landscape

- Weekly analysis of the Early Watch Alert report and follow up accordingly

- Application of system notes and patches as required

- SAP-specific Printer Management

- User administration in coordination with the SAP Security Consultant

- SAP BASIS specific incident management and resolution

- Service Level Agreement and weekly reporting to Management

- Management of SAP BASIS activity associated with projects within project timeline

- Upgrade activities around ERP, BW and portal components

Requirements:

- Full SAP Basis Life Cycle experience (ERP 6.0)

- SAP Basis experience, SAP-BC/Admin essential

- SAP Netweaver 7.0 or higher, BW 7.0 or higher, Portal 7.0 or higher, SolMan 7.0 or higher

- Good knowledge of Operating Software (AIX, Linux, Windows) and SAP database Oracle

- High level of communication skills

- Willing to travel
