A leading FTSE 100 client in Edinburgh requires an established & dynamic Project Manager with an accomplished background in Project Delivery, Change and IT to join them on a permanent assignment via Hyphen.

Project Manager - Skills Expected:

- Accomplished in Project Delivery on various types of projects both business and IT

- Strong experience in small to large scale projects

- Stakeholder & 3rd party management

- Project Budget management ranging from 1m+

- A Financial Services background is highly desired otherwise Blue Chip

The Role:

* The role holder reports to a Practice Manager within the Change & IT Organisation from a line management perspective

* The role holder will report on a daily basis for 'task management' to a Senior Portfolio Delivery Manager (SPDM) or other Project/Programme Managers for the duration of the role holders time on a programme/project. There may be occasions where the role holder reports directly to a Head of Portfolio Delivery

* The role holder will have no direct line management responsibility but will frequently have project authority to manage cross functional teams operating in a matrix structure and be accountable for their output on programmes/projects. Accountable for actions taken by self and subordinates

* The role holder may also be responsible for managing third parties.

* The role holder works on programme/projects approved at Portfolio level which will include medium to large projects which are often complex systems integrations with a high profile that impact the UK Business or group wide

* The role holder will be responsible for managing one or more projects across an extensive range of business functions and technologies (e.g. Operations, Take to Market and support functions.)

* The role holder will effectively manage expectations of stakeholders, resources and budgets for the programme/project (s) using the change process and standard tools and techniques

* Manages the negotiation and implementation of clear delivery contracts / dependency agreements with internal work package suppliers and strategic sourcing partners

* Active leadership provided to create an engaged and high performing team

* Collaborating superbly across all areas of Change & IT in support of overall objectives

* Participating in the creation of consistent values and culture both horizontally & vertically within own area

* Represent the department, division or company on internal & external forums e.g. conferences, seminars etc

* The size and make up of cross functional project teams will vary.

* Projects will typically be within the range 1m-5m and include up to 50 people from across the organisation. Influencing will typically be at senior manager and sometimes director level.
