Senior Supply Chain Planner

Purpose of Role

Our client (Genzyme Ireland) currently seeks a Senior Supply Chain Planner to join their team. The Supply Chain Planner will partner with Genzyme's packaging teams at the Waterford Site. This initially is an 18 Month contract.

Job Requirements

The activities would include:

* Ensure that day to day deliverables are met, including working with the line schedulers

* Create a realistic packaging MPS (to include renal, PGH and Thymo). Maintain the link between global demand, supply and pack.

* Present packaging capacity monthly via the monthly ops and governance meetings, including NPI activity

* Work with packaging leadership to ensure loading is within target

* Provide monthly inventory forecasts for area of responsibility

* Maintain MRP II Class A accreditation

* Working with the packaging areas to understand, record, maintain and achieve KPI targets.

* Escalating within the packaging team and SC team when targets are not being met. Working with the packaging teams to understand issues and agree actions required.

* Work with warehouse on the maintenance of the warehouse RCCP.

* Planning Parameters - maintain accuracy of data on the MFGPRO ERP system.

* Responsible for LRP forecasting for packaging volumes

* Development & maintenance of Supply Chain KPI's

* Scenario analysis and presentation as required

* Adherence to all Safety, Quality and Training metrics/deadlines.

* Cross train/cover with manufacturing MPS and other supply planning personnel as required

Qualifications

Recognised third level qualification, preferably Irish Institute of Purchasing and Materials Management or APICS or equivalent. Proven track record in a materials role

Experience

* 5 years' experience in a supply chain role within a manufacturing environment.

* Additional experience in other manufacturing roles would be beneficial.

* SAP experience would be beneficial.

Skills & Knowledge

The candidate must:

* Excellent communication skills

* Strong knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems/MRP Systems

* Microsoft Office experience, with especially strong Excel & PowerPoint knowledge

* Strong administrative skills

* Planning and organisation skills

* Ability to support and challenge others
