Senior Java Developer / Java Programmer / Software Engineer - Edinburgh - up to 35K - 50K

Senior Java Programmer: Role

My client is a leading financial technology provider operating internationally and has recently been recognised and named as the leader within their field.

With major current contracts, and planned, signed off projects already up to 2015, we are seeking to hire enthusiastic and capable Senior Java Programmers who wish to work for a financial based Market Leader.

You will be working with some of the largest names in the business covering bespoke systems specifically within card payments.

This role has so much scope to progress and variety on a daily for you to ensure your Java Development/Programming skills will be utilised to their full potential.

Senior Java Programmer Profile:

Excellent at writing clean, robust and manageable Java Code - Server and Client side

Unit and integration tests

Excellent web services experience

In depth knowledge of Core Java/J2EE

Experience is building web service (SOAP, Restful services)

Spring framework

Java build tools Maven/Ant

Understating of relational database (Oracle or MySQL)

Writing design/technical document

Ability to work in project with onsite and offshore model with agile methodology

Sense of humour

Excellent communication skills

Willing to learn new technologies

Able and willing to travel to client site should the opportunity arise

Nice to have

Hibernate

Spring-WS/Axis web service

WebSphere Application

Rest

Vaadin

GWT

Jenkins/Sonar
