Global Financial Services Client in Edinburgh are looking for an established PMO Analyst with an accomplished skill set to join them to be an integral part of their PMO and high profile projects. Skills Expected:
* To assist project and programme managers throughout the project lifecycle, implementing robust governance and controls.
* Implementing effective project practices to increase the chances that the project meets its objectives whilst at the same time ensuring compliance with overall Change standards.
* Ability to work on small to large scale projects (1- 10m), with a low risk and low to high complexity
* Experience of working within a project based environment at a level involving prioritisation and decision making
* Strong relationship management, communication and influencing skills and demonstrable experience of working in a high pressured environment
* Proficient in the use of project tools (i.e. MS Project and MS Office)
* Ability to facilitate and support tracking of financial/strong commercial awareness
* Experience of working on small to medium scale projects and programmes)
* Ability to create, analyse and challenge appropriate reports for Executive sponsors
* Resource usage and costs tracked to ensure project/programme budget is achieved
Desired Skills:
* Detailed knowledge of programme office processes and practices
* Proficient in the use of project tools and methodologies (i.e. MS Project, MS Office and PMI)
* Experience of working on change initiatives
* Set-up all the governance and control processes for project / programme
* Establish PMO framework or initiative adhering to the required standards
* Executes Programme and Project 'health-checks' to quality assure the consistency of practices and standards
* Develops and manages relationships with programme/project managers/Head of Portfolio
* Develops and maintains security processes, including the programme/project databases, restricted drive and confidentiality agreements
* Collates information in order for recommendations regarding the approach to securing required resource to be made (permanent, contract etc)
