Business Analyst - Core Banking

Certes are looking for a Business Analyst to be based in Edinburgh for a period of two years working on a client project for a global consultancy.

*It is essential that you have Front End user interface experience for this position: UI, Front End channels, Web Based UI in a banking environment*

In this role the Business Analyst works under the supervision of the Business Analyst Manager/Project Manager, interacting directly with clients to determine any modifications that need to be made to an application.

The Senior Business Analyst works on a client's implementation of the suite of products from contract stage through conversion, right up to handover to the Client Support/Help Desk.

*We are specifically looking for people that will have knowledge and experience in retail banking*

The successful candidate will use their knowledge to assess needs, provide expert requirements analysis, formulate work estimates, contribute to project planning and help design solutions in cooperation with technical development resources.

The candidate must have the ability to create and offer alternative solutions to clients and developers alike and have a penchant for removing or working around obstacles that block a project's success.

This position requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor and a professional attitude.

The Senior Business Analyst plays a valuable and contributing part in the success of these large scale and often high profile projects. 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Performs client interviews to establish business requirements

*Takes responsibility for adhering to project plans, ensuring that project deliverables are completed on time

*Ability to translate business requirements into structured form (UML or other standardised analytical language).

*Performs gap-analysis with the assistance of other team members

*Performs review, analysis and evaluation of business and user requirements.

*Writes documentation of detailed business requirements and business flows for development projects

*Reviews all design solutions for accuracy and adherence to the business requirements.

*Gives design input through knowledge of software and industry to ensure all accommodations have been made

*Answers functional questions about the system

*Documents training materials and provides training if needed

*Researches and documents bugs, communicates issues to developers and support staff and works the bug lists to ensure reasonable turnaround

*Lead and mentor junior resources where required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

*Experience in the banking industry

*Experience with a Core Banking Application is preferred (flexcube/profile/T24 etc)
