My client, a systems integrator who specialises in creative solutions for a variety of sectors including Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals and Chemical, has a current requirement for a DCS Engineer with DeltaV experience.

This is an office and site based role, which requires you to manage and deliver creative solutions in order to build lasting relationships with the client. The role offers lots of variety, a chance to work on a number of different projects and an opportunity to travel across Scotland,

You will need to be proficient with handling the full life cycle of the project from initial conception, design, configuration, internal testing and customer testing to commissioning and on-going support.

Essentials of the role;

My client works on a number of platforms but most significantly, you need good Delta V experience ideally within a validated Pharmaceutical environment or similar.

Range of PLCs/platforms you could be working on:

Distributed control systems and PLC development

AB PLC's Rockwell PLCs - SLC, Logix 5000

Siemens S7 and PCS7

Emerson DeltaV, Provox, SIS

SCADA design and programming - Proficy iFIX, RSView, FactoryTalk, Wonderware

HMI development

Industrial IT and enterprise level solutions - Historian, IP21

You will also need to be flexible to work at client locations, sometimes for extended periods of time. Occasionally some time working away from home will be necessary. It is therefore essential that you hold a full valid driver's licence and have access to a car.

Salary is negotiable and depends on experience.
