Java Developer/Java Programmer/Java Software Engineer/ Banking / London /City of London/ Contract

Our client is a leading pillar of the British Banking community and is assertively looking to grow their successful team.

A Java Developer is required to come on board and join the e-commerce FX team.

This will be an initial 6 month contract with an opportunity to extend if successful. The role will be offering up to 600/day for the right candidate and based in the heart of London.

Responsibilities:

* Development of Java Server side features in the data application for wholesale FX

* Integrating new and existing applications in the eCommerce systems landscape

* Day to Day delivery for technical aspects of the project

* Quality assurance and 3rd line support for business as usual production issues

Essential Experience:

* Commercial experience of software development using C#

* Core Java experience including concurrency and multithreading and in JEE environments

* WPF, Object orientated Javascript experience, HTML, CSS, SASS , Knockout.js, JQuery, WCF and ASP.NET MVC.

* Test Driven Development

* Writing technical specs/software release notes

* Exposure to continuous integration and build tools

Strongly Desirable:

* Websphere or application servers experience

* Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate framework
