A globally known Investment organisation is looking for enthusiastic graduates with a passion for technology to be part of a new center of excellence in Edinburgh. They are looking to hire a significant number of Technical Graduates fresh out of University or with a few years technical experience.

Working within the Operations team this role will focus on providing Monitoring, Supporting and Administering the various technical environments. You will act as a key point of contact in relation to troubleshooting, problem resolution and technical escalation.

Additionally you will;

* Guarantee the resolution of complex, cross functional technical problems. Working with global technical teams you will help to facilitate clients through their investment process.

* Work across various departments and teams to push forward the timely resolution of technical issues across the trading platform to ensure client needs and deadlines are met.

* Have the opportunity to carry out development within Perl or Java.

* Gain exposure to a range of Technologies such as Distributed Computing Systems, Hadoop, Cassandra and Enterprise Scale Database Management Systems.

* As well as developing a comprehensive ability within UNIX/Linux and SQL.

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you MUST have the following;

* Bachelors or Honours Degree within Computer Science, Technology, Mathematics or MIS

* Experience with a combination of the following gained from an Internship/Placement or a previous role:

* Programming or Scripting within Perl, Java, C++ or Python

* SQL or Database Administration Experience

* Unix or Linux Administration

* Middleware Administration ideally within FIX, SWIFT, or WebSphere MQ

* Application Support of JBOSS, Apache, Weblogic, Squid or Informatica
