Linux Engineer / System Administrator (Redhat CentOS Linux UNIX Market Data). Successful Hedge Fund is seeking a passionate Linux Engineer to join a talented team focused on Linux and Market Data projects. You will design and implement the latest Market Data feeds and technologies, measuring and reducing latency wherever possible.

As a Linux Engineer you will support the existing infrastructure, as well as installing and managing 3rd party feeds and applications. You will deliver projects that are fully tested, documented and meets business requirements. Proactively spotting issues and inefficiencies throughout the systems, you will propose elegant solutions to technically challenging problems.

Based in Central London this is a friendly, cooperative environment where you will be encouraged to continue to develop your skills as a Linux Engineer, gaining exposure to the full financial research cycle from data sourcing to research and execution platforms.

Requirements:

'¢ Strong Linux / UNIX skills, ideally including Redhat / CentOS

'¢ Automation and scripting skills (e.g. bash, Perl, Python)

'¢ Understanding of monitoring and management applidcation, possibly ITRS Geneos or Puppet

'¢ 2.1 degree in Computing or related subject from a reputable university and strong A-levels

'¢ Strong problem solving abilities

'¢ Financial experience would be an advantage

'¢ Ideally familiar with Market Data feeds
