Company & Project:

Our client, a well-established main contractor who has an enviable order book in the London market has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor - Freelance to work on a prestigious Commercial Office build in the West End of London.

The project is a stage development which goes live to site in early October and is due for completion in 2016. The contract offers a unique opportunity to work as part of a 4 strong commercial team and report directly into the Commercial Director carrying out the full commercial life cycle from procurement through to final accounts.

Duties & Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the commercial management and delivery of specific packages. You need to be someone who has proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

Competent in handling packages and dealing with subcontractors. Conducting feasibility studies to estimate materials, time and labour costs. Preparing, negotiating and analysing costs for tenders and contracts. Coordination of work effort. Valuing completed work and arranging for payments. Variations, Valuations and Final Accounts.

Key Skills & Experience:

* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Quantity Surveying

* Strong knowledge and experience of handling packages

* Commercial Office experience would be beneficial

* Managed project or packages £5m+

* Major project experience would be beneficial

* Qualifications: BSc Quantity Surveying or simila

* Previous roles: Quantity Surveyor - Freelance OR Project Quantity Surveyor - Freelance OR Senior Quantity Surveyor - Freelance
