Application Support / Senior Support Analyst (Solaris UNIX Linux Sybase Perl C# C++ Java). Tier 1 Investment Bank is seeking a passionate Application Support Engineer to support key OMS systems for single stock and portfolio trading, as well as the Middle office applications for allocation and bookings. You will work closely with business analysts, support and development to ensure a high quality service for the Equities Front Office team.

As an Application Support Engineer you will monitor for system errors, resolve issues in real time, or manage the resolution process. Keeping up-to-date with the latest technologies, you will proactively identify and validate software code fixes, develop test automation plans and perform software installation and configuration. As a senior member of the team, there is a possibility for you to lead the team in the near future.

Based in the City, this is a dynamic, fast-paced environment within a company that believes in investing in its people and its technologies.

Requirements:

'¢ Strong Solaris, Linux / UNIX skills

'¢ FIX protocol support experience

'¢ Understanding of trading platforms, e.g. LAVA, NYFIX, Sungard, Bloomberg or Macgregor

'¢ Familiar with the Trade Life Cycle

'¢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

'¢ Perl, C#, C++ or Java programming experience would be an advantage
